The car: "Ducky"

My rally friend and veteran Fernando Cortes donated his 1977 Citroen 2CV. It was standing around rather lonley in Cercedilla without too much attention in an existing stable of classic car marvels (TR3, Morgan, Jaguar, etc.). It wasn't in too good a state and even lost it's gears during a test drive.
After some hesitation (I'm a power car driver, having snubbed 2CV's and the likes up till now) the donation was accepted, basically because after some information gathering and other peoples positive reactions, it was found these jumpy vehicles have an incredible history of getting round the world through the most impossible situations.

It's tall 15" wheels combined with a high and long travel suspension gets one through very rough terrain in reasonable comfort - compared to anything else I've driven. A plus not only for getting there but also in giving it's occupants a less tiring ride, more endurance.
Then it's engineering is simple but as I've discovered, very bright, solid and full of practical solutions - easy to maintain and repair on the fly (well nearly). It's also light at 575Kg and has a relatively low consumption.

Question now is if this particular example can be prepared by the Team to last 15.000Km of unforgiving hammering under the worst conditions and generally in a hurry?
